SONY INFOLITHIUM V Series PWR BATTERY PACK 1030MAH
I purchased this battery for my Sony DSC-SX63 flash camcorder, as a 2nd battery for longer filming. The thing that I like about Sony batteries is that they show an approximate time of battery left. The time showing left is not exact, unless you do not zoom or use other features while filming. This one lasts about "an hour" longer than the battery that it came with.
I just used it yesterday to film at a zoo. We were at the zoo for about 4 hours. I took about 1 hour of video, and there was about "30 minutes" left on the battery from a full recharge. The zooming, which is mechanical, is what really wears on this battery. If I had used the LCD light, it may have drained a little faster as well.
Overall, it really helps to have a 2nd battery, especially one that lasts longer than the default one. So I recommend getting this battery for your "V" type Sony device.
Price: $28.00
Take along extra recording power for your camcorder so that you're prepared to film life's precious memories.
Got this for the wifes new sony camcorder (cx150) and it works great. We killed the factory battery (fv50), put this guy in and it is still running strong after hours of shooting HD video.
Price: $51.25
Take along extra power for your compatible Alpha camera, so you can keep on shooting those precious memories.
I bough this to use with a Sony Alpha SLT-A55V, in addition to the one one bundled with the camera body. Lasts for aprox. 350-400 exposures without flash (mixed use between viewfinder and live view). Charges in about 4 hours I think.
The thing I liked the most is the apparently accurate reading of the battery charge level, which is very uniform, without surprises or flunctuations. Recommended.

Sony Rechargeable AAA 900 mAh NiMH Batteries, 4 Pack
Concise: I purchased 3 packs of these 900 mAh NiMH AAA batteries by Sony. All 12 batteries behave similarly, but none of the 12 come close to 900 mAh. The average is 690 mAh, with the minimum being 634 mAh and the maximum being 732 mAh.
Detail: For my testing, I used two battery analyzers, both Powerex MAHA MHC9000. All batteries weee used on each analyzer in turn. Before any battery usage, all batteries were put through the new battery conditioning routine, using the slowest possible charge and discharge rates (200 mAh charge, 100 mAh discharge) with the analyzer set to the batteries advertised capacity, 900 mAh. This routine took days to complete. After this, each battery was discharged (slow rate). The mAh ratings was recorded for each battery. Following this, each battery was charged (slow rate), allowed to rest for 24 hours and then discharged (slow rate). This cycle was done three times for each battery.
Results: After initial break-in and initial discharge, the batteries averaged 678 mAh, low 534 mAh, high 711 mAh. After the second discharge: average 685 mAh, low 632 mAh, high 734 mAh. After the third discharge: average 686 mAh, low 634 mAh, high 732 mAh.
Conclusion: Typical, but disappointing. These batteries range from actual capacity of 70% of advertised to 81% of advertised. In real-world usage (3 batteries used in my GPS Photo Tracker), the batteries behaved far inferior to Costco Kirkland brand AAA batteries (the really cheap ones). Said another way, my photo tracker turned itself off after less than 8 hours of use, 3 separate times.

I got this charger/battery set just before I had my baby, because everyone told me to start stocking up on batteries. All the kids' stuff uses C or D batteries. So far, I'm very impressed with it! The batteries do take a long time to charge (overnight or all day), but they hold a charge for a LONG time. We used 3 of these in my baby swing and it was over a month of daily use before they needed to be recharged. I'd say it is definitely a wiser, cheaper choice over single-use batteries in the long run (not to mention more environmentally friendly).

Seems to work fine. Be aware that:
1) There is no automatic shutoff. Instructions indicate how long to charge for battery size and quantity (18-20 hours for AAA-1000mAh, 18-20 hours for AA-2500mAh), at which point you had better unplug it from the outlet to avoid damage to the charger and/or the batteries.
2) Batteries must be charged in pairs - at least 2 similar batteries, fill front chamber first.
3) Batteries being charged must be of the same type (Ni-Cd or Ni-MH).
4) There is a rotating plate at the top of the front and back chambers that limits front or back to AA or AAA size batteries. These 2 plates operate independently, but cannot tell if it is okay to charge different sizes simultaneously (2AA in front, 2 AAA in back, for instance).

This review is from: Tenergy High capacity NiMH Rechargeable battery package: 12 AA 2600 mAh + 12 AAA 1000 mAh
Pros:
1. They are much, much cheaper than others in the market.
2. Even if they are overrating the AA ones [see below] all that means that I will have to recharge them a little sooner. I am willing to take that over paying $ 3 to $4 per cell for other brands!!
3. AAA ones measure nearly 1000 mAh! They are rated at 1000 so they are good!
Cons:
I have a high end charger from Maha - MH-C9000 WizardOne Charger-Analyzer . It is able to tell exactly what the capacity of a battery is. I have tested at least 7 or 8 of my 25 or so Tenergy AA batteries. All measure around 1500 - 1600 mAh. Note that these batteries were bought in the last year or two. They are not brand new.
I even did many refresh cycles , even after a couple of break-in cycles [that is supposed to recover under used cells] the capacity does not increase.
Hence I can say for sure....they are overrating them.
By the way, my 3-4 year old energizer cells [2500 mAh] from Costco also test around 2000 - 2100 mAh on my analyser. So maybe age is a factor. But at least the energizers are closer to the 2500 they claim!

Customer Reviews
We've had this charger for 4 - 5 years and it's still going strong. We kinda had doubts given the price but we were wrong!
We use this charger daily for D's, AA's and AAA's. You can charge one battery at a time if need be. It'll do up to 4 D's, 4 C's, 4 AA's, 4 AAA's or 2 9v's. The vendor, the Battery Superstore, has great customer service.
The Tenergy D cells (9000 mah) that we bought with this charger are still going strong - that's after almost daily use.
Update December 2009 - still going strong!
